Oil Stocks Climb

Shares of oil companies surged as crude oil settled at a new record of $70.40 a barrel. Blue Dolphin Energy Co. (BDCO) stock climbed $1.81 to close at $7.99 while shares of Occidental Petroleum Corp. (OXY) leaped $4.94 to close at $101.25. The stock price of Valero Energy Corp. (VLO) rose $1.35 to close at $65.65.
