Newpark Investigates Accounting Irregularities

Newpark Resources Inc. (NR) suspended Chief Financial Officer Matthew W. Hardey along with two executives and launched an internal investigation into accounting irregularities at one of the company's subsidiaries. The stock price plunged $1.28 to close at $6.14.
