(AMD) reversed losses to report first quarter earnings of 38 cents per share compared with losses of 4 cents per share in the year ago period, surpassing expectations by an impressive 8 cents. However, the stock price plunged $3.62 to close at $31.80 over concerns that the company's gains in market share will slow.
