Biotech Up Over Avian Flu Scare

News of the first suspected case of avian flu transmitted by humans sent shares of drug makers higher with BioCryst Pharmaceuticals Inc. (BCRX) gaining $1.15 to close at $12.95. Shares of Gilead Sciences Inc. (GILD) rose $1.73 to close at $55.50 while Generex Biotechnology Corp. (GNBT) stock edged up 19 cents to close at $2.03.
