Copper Stocks Rise

A rebound in commodities lifted shares of copper miners with Phelps Dodge Corp. (PD) soaring $3.26 to close at $83.06. Shares of Freeport-McMoRan Copper & Gold Inc. (FCX) climbed $1.26 to close at $55.53 while shares of Sourthern Copper Corp. (PCU) gained $2.70 to close at $84.60.
