Quest Reports Higher Earnings

Quest Diagnostics Inc. (DGX) reported higher second quarter earnings of 73 cents per share compared with 66 cents per share a year earlier that beat expectations by 5 cents as the medical testing company cut costs. The stock price surged $3.62 to close at $56.42.
