Earnings Drop For LifePoint

LifePoint Hospitals Inc. (LPNT) blamed bad debt for a sharp drop in second quarter earnings to 23 cents per share from 62 cents per share in the year ago period and lowered its full year forecast. The stock price plummeted $6.86 to close at $32.25.
