Sonoco Reports Lower Earnings

Sonoco Products Co. (SON) reported lower second quarter earnings of 41 cents per share compared with 49 cents per share a year earlier that fell 3 cents short of expectations. Shares of the global packaging maker plummeted $6.30 to close at $38.00.
