PNC To Acquire Sterling

PNC Financial Services Group Inc. (PNC) will pay approximately $565 million in cash and stock to acquire Sterling Financial Corp. (SLFI). Shares of PNC fell $1.84 to close at $71.37 while Sterling stock leaped $7.11 to close at $17.66.
