Plains Exploration To Buy Pogo Producing

Pogo Producing Co. (PPP) agreed to be acquired by Plains Exploration & Production Co. (PXP) in a $3.6 billion cash and stock deal. Shares of Pogo leaped $7.02 to close at $57.50 while Plains Exploration tumbled $3.31 to close at $47.88.
