Medtronic To Buy Kyphon

Medical technology company Medtronic Inc. (MDT) offered $3.9 billion in cash to acquire Kyphon Inc. (KYPH). Shares of Medtronic eased 11 cents to close at $50.81 while Kyphon stock leaped $12.92 to close at $66.60.
