Microsoft May Buy Yahoo

Yahoo Inc. (YHOO) shares climbed $2.80 to close at $30.98 on word that Microsoft Corp. (MSFT) may have reopened talks to buy the Internet portal to combine their online advertising units. Microsoft stock eased 41 cents to close at $30.56.
