Chipotle Reports Higher Earnings

Chipotle Mexican Grill Inc. (CMG) reported higher first quarter earnings of 38 cents per share compared with 26 cents per share a year earlier to beat expectations by 6 cents. The strong results prompted the restaurant chain to lift its same-store sales outlook sending the stock price soaring $11.83 to close at $78.09.
