News Corp. Offers $5 Billion For Dow Jones

News Corp. (NWS) made an unsolicited $5 billion bid to acquire Dow Jones & Co. (DJ) but the controlling shareholders of Dow Jones intend to vote against the offer. Shares of Dow Jones leaped $19.87 to close at $56.20 while News Corp. stock fell $1.01 to $22.99.
