JDS Uniphase Swings To Loss

JDS Uniphase Corp. (JDSU) swung to a third quarter loss of 7 cents per share compared with earnings of 2 cents per share in the year ago period and warned that fourth quarter sales would fall short of expectations. Shares of the communications equipment provider plunged $2.31 to close at $14.33.
