Elan Corp. (ELN) and Wyeth (WYE) expect to begin late stage clinical trials for their Alzheimer's treatment in the second half of the year. Shares of Elan leaped $2.09 to close at $18.69 while Wyeth stock climbed $2.03 to close at $58.41.
