Olin To Acquire Pioneer

Pioneer Companies Inc. (PONR) will be acquired by rival Olin Corp. (OLN) for approximately $415.8 million in cash. Shares of Pioneer soared $4.81 to close at $34.19 while Olin stock edged up 51 cents to close at $19.51.
