AMD May Purchase ATI

Speculation that ATI Technologies Inc. (ATYT) may be the target of a take-over by Advanced Micro Devices (AMD) sent shares of the graphics company up $1.36 to close at $16.51. AMD stock gained 41 cents to close at $30.89.
