GM and Delphi May Reach Cost-Cutting Deal

General Motors (GM) is reportedly close to reaching a cost-cutting labor agreement with bankrupt auto parts maker Delphi Corp. to possibly avert a strike that would have otherwise crippled GM operations, according to The Wall Street Journal. GM shares added 92 cents to close at $21.34.
