BlackBerry Patent Fight Settled for $612.5 Million

Research In Motion Ltd., (RIMM) the maker of the BlackBerry e-mail device, agreed to pay NTP $612.5 millin to settle all claims in full. The stock closed at $71.92, up 53 cents before leaping $12 to $84 in afterhour trading.
