PMC-Sierra Narrows Losses

PMC-Sierra Inc. (PMCS) narrowed third quarter losses to 3 cents per share from 5 cents per share last year and beat expectations as expenses dropped. Shares of the chip maker climbed 73 cents to close at $9.75.
