Netflix Surprises
Netflix Inc. (NFLX) reported higher third quarter earnings of 23 cents per share compared with 18 cents per share a year earlier. The results surpassed expectations and prompted the company to lift its fourth quarter outlook. Shares of the online DVD rental company leaped $2.98 to close at $25.99.
