Earnings Rise For Limited Brands

Strong sales lifted first quarter earnings for Limited Brands Inc. (LTD) to 25 cents per share from 16 cents per share a year earlier, surpassing expectations by 5 cents. Shares of the women's apparel retailer climbed $1.38 to close at $26.68.
