Ariad Wins Lawsuit Against Eli Lilly
Ariad Pharmaceuticals Inc. (ARIA) won a patent infringement lawsuit against Eli Lilly and Co. (LLY) and will be awarded $65.3 million in damages. Shares of Ariad surged $1.45 to close at $6.99 while Eli Lilly stock edged up 6 cents to close at $52.02.
