LifeCell Earnings Beat Expectations

First quarter earnings for LifeCell Corp. (LIFC) rose to 12 cents per share from 7 cents per share last year, beating expectations by 3 cents. The upbeat results prompted the skin graft materials maker to lift its fiscal 2006 forecast sending the stock price surging $3.41 to close at $26.73.
