MetroPCS Makes $5.12 Billion Bid For Leap

MetroPCS Communications Inc. (PCS) offered $5.12 billion in stock to buy rival Leap Wireless International Inc. (LEAP). Shares of Leap leaped $10.97 to close at $83.47 while MetroPCS stock rose $1.36 to close at $28.65.
