Fiserv Offers $4.2 Billion For CheckFree

Fiserv Inc. (FISV), a financial information management service provider, offered $4.2 billion in cash for online banking service provider CheckFree Corp. (CKFR). Share of CheckFree leaped $8.57 to close at $45.40 while Fiserv stock edged up 31 cents to close at $49.50.
