Avery Dennison To Buy Paxar

Paxar Corp. (PXR) agreed to be acquired by Avery Dennison Corp. (AVY) for approximately $1.34 billion. Shares of Paxar leaped $4.52 to close at $28.55 while Avery Dennison stock edged up 88 cents to close at $66.43.
