Florida Rock Industries Inc. (FRK) was the target of a $4.6 billion stock and cash offer by Vulcan Materials Co. (VMC). Shares of Florida Rock leaped $19. 58 to close at $66.54 while Vulcan stock eased 67 cents to close at $111.14.
