MGIC To Acquire Radian

MGIC Investment Corp. (MTG) will acquire rival Radian Group Inc. (RDN) for approximately $4.9 billion in stock. Shares of MGIC surged $7.16 to close at $70.09 while Radian stock soared $5.67 to close at $66.51.
