State Street To Buy Investors Financial

State Street Corp. (STT) will purchase rival Investors Financial Services Corp. (IFIN) for approximately $4.5 billion. Shares of State Street plunged $4.67 to close at $67.08 while Investors Financial stock jumped $12.85 to close at $59.80.
