Williams-Sonoma Disappoints

Williams-Sonoma Inc. (WSM) blamed the slowdown in the housing market for a drop in third quarter earnings to 25 cents per share from 31 cents per share in the year ago period. The disappointing results prompted the company to slash its fourth quarter as well as its full year outlook sending the stock price plunging $3.48 to close at $31.70.
