National City To Acquire Harbor Florida

In mergers and acquisitions, National City Corp. (NCC) will purchase Harbor Florida Bancshares (HARB) for approximately $1.1 billion in stock. Shares of Harbor Florida surged $6.79 to $44.34 while National City stock eased 53 cents to $35.86.
