Brookfield To Buy Trizec

In an $8.9 billion deal, Brookfield Properties Corp. (BPO) and private equity firm Blackstone Group will purchase Trizec Properties Inc. (TRZ). Shares of Trizec jumped $4.08 to close at $28.68 while Brookfield stock edged up 19 cents to close at $31.17.
