Cutera Settles Lawsuit

Cutera Inc. (CUTR) settled a patent infringement lawsuit by paying Palomar Medical Technologies $22 million. The settlement prompted the maker of laser skin treatments to cut its second quarter outlook as well as its fiscal 2006 forecast. The stock price, however, leaped $6.31 to close at $25.09 after an analyst upgrade.
