Sigma Designs Posts Strong Earnings

Sigma Designs Inc. (SIGM) posted a strong second quarter with earnings of 32 cents per share compared with a penny per share last year as chip sales doubled. Shares of the semiconductor company leaped $4.07 to close at $42.70.
