Oplink Falls Short

Oplink Communications Inc. (OPLK) posted higher fourth quarter earnings of 13 cents per share compared with 9 cents per shares in the year ago period but the results fell short of estimates. Shares of the fiber optics maker plunged $2.21 to close at $13.09.
