Earnings Rise For Heatland Express

Increased sales lifted first quarter earnings for Heartland Express Inc. (HTLD) to 23 cents per share from 20 cents per share last year, easily beating expectations. Shares of the truckload carrier soared $1.52 to close at $17.91.
