Wells Fargo To Acquire Placer Sierra

Placer Sierra Bancshares (PLSB) will be acquired by Wells Fargo & Co. (WFC) in a stock swap deal worth nearly $645 million. Shares of Placer Sierra soared $3.66 to close at $27.19 while Wells Fargo stock eased 11 cents to close at $35.48.
