Genentech To Buy Tanox

Genentech Inc. (DNA) will buy Tanox Inc. (TNOX) for approximately $919 million in cash. Shares of Tanox leaped $6.11 to close at $19.75 while Genentech stock inched up 24 cents to close at $81.59.
