Chattem Buys Five Brands

Chattem Inc. (CHTT) will acquire five Johnson & Johnson (JNJ) and Pfizer Inc. (PFE)over-the-counter brands for $410 million. Shares of Chattem leaped $9.77 to close at $44.20 while J&J stock eased 5 cents to close at $65.06. Pfizer stock slipped 9 cents to close at $27.90.
