Pilgrim's Pride To Acquire Gold Kist

Gold Kist Inc. (GKIS) announced that it would be acquired by chicken processor Pilgrim's Pride Corp. (PPC) for $20 a share. Gold Kist stock jumped $6.09 to close at $19.02 while shares of Pilgrim's Pride climbed $1.32 to close at $24.97.
