Microsoft To Compete Against iPod

Reports that Microsoft Corp. (MSFT) will release its own portable music player to compete against Apple Computer Inc.'s (AAPL) popular iPod sent shares of Apple down $1.23 to close at $55.77. Microsoft stock edged up 13 cents to close at $23.48.
