Coal Price Concerns Send Peabody Lower

Although Peabody Energy Corp. (BTU) reported second quarter earnings that climbed to 57 cents per share from 36 cents per share in the year ago period, the stock price plunged $5.56 to close at $47.79 over concerns that coal prices could soften.
