Analyst Upgrade Boosts Altera

Shares of Altera Corp. (ALTR) gained $1.14 to close at $21.18 after an analyst upgraded the programmable chip maker. Bear Stearns analyst Gurinder Kalra expects the company to lift its revenue outlook.
